Tim Minchin's brand of dark comedic cabaret has received increasing critical and public acclaim in recent years, both in Australia and internationally.
Tim has composed for theatre and musical theatre, most recently writing music and lyrics for The Q Theatre's Somewhere and Tamarama Rock Surfers' This Blasted Earth, both in Sydney. Other composing credits include Cosi and One Destiny for Black Swan Theatre Co, Mother Courage and Caucasian Chalk Circle for WA Youth Theatre, and Macbeth, The Tempest and Merchant of Venice for UWA Dramatic Society. He has also composed and produced music for Discovery Channel and for several short films. He has written one musical play, Pop, which was produced in Perth in 2000.
